Tutorial – how to apply magnets
YOU'VE RECIEVED YOUR ORDER...
And noticed a small pile of black tiles in the box… don’t worry they are supposed to be there.
These are the magnets which will help to attach your SVC cards to our range of products like the routine and communication boards.
I hear you ask why they are not pre applied and it is simply because we understand our customers will prefer to use our tiles in a range of different way. Some may want to use the magnets on the boards as soon as they recieve their order, some may want to attach them to a key ring. Some of our customers may even want to eventually attach them to their SVC cards to use with a board they’ve had their eye on!
HERE WE WILL DESCRIBE HOW TO BEST ATTACH THESE MAGNETS TO YOUR PRODUCTS FOR MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE.
Our products are designed to function with high quality polarised magnets. This means the magnets supplied will only work when the ‘A’ magnet is attached to the ‘B’ magnet. Any other way will cause the magnets to not attract correctly and will compromise the product. ‘B’ magnets will always come pre applied to your product.
We’ve broken down the process to attach the magnets in a visual guide below to make this as easy as possible for our valued customers.
STEP 1 - IDENTIFYING THE 'A' AND 'B' MAGNETS
MAGNET A
Magnet ‘A’ will be found loose inside of your package giving you the option to apply it . These magnets will always have a very visual engraved line through the centre of the magnet.
These should be applied to the SVC cards only. Do not apply these to your communication or routine boards
MAGNET B
Magnet ‘B’ will always be pre applied to our products. These magnets do not have a protruding line through the magnet
These should NOT be applied to the SVC cards. ‘B’ magnets are intended to be used on boards.
STEP 2 - APPLYING THE MAGNETS
MAGNET A
Start by gently wiping down the back of your SVC card to ensure it is clear of any dust, grease or debris. The magnets work best on a clean and dry surface.
Turning your card face down, apply the magnet to the centre of the card ensuring the engraved line in the magnet is running left to right of the SVS card as in the picture.
Use your finger to apply firm pressure evenly over the surface of the magnet for a few seconds to ensure a good bond to the card.
Remember the ‘A’ magnets should only be used on the SVS cards only.
MAGNET B
For the rare occasion your boards need the magnets replacing start by removing the old magnet completely.
Start by gently wiping down any residue left behind to ensure the board is clear of any dust, grease or debris. The magnets work best on a clean and dry surface.
Apply the magnet to the pre-engraved square ensuring the gradient line is running left to right of the board as in the picture.
Use your finger to apply pressure evenly over the surface of the magnet for a few seconds to ensure a good bond to the card.
Remember the ‘B’ magnets should NOT be used on the SVS cards and are intended for all of our products that work with the SVC cards.
STEP 3 - GET BACK TO COMMUNICATING!
